Established in 1798, The Famous Ship Inn is a beloved pub in Sandgate. We opened in October 2023 and are delighted to be at the helm of a bustling community pub and restaurant. Serving locally caught fish and chips in the afternoon through to our own dry-aged steaks and seafood specials in the evenings, there's something on the menu for everyone. Our newly refurbished restaurant is the ultimate setting for Sunday Roasts with stunning sea views, bright and airy in the day and candle-lit by night. The log-fires create a cosy bar area, serving local ales, speciality wines and more.
